AUDITIONS | Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Rapunzel from 3:30pm to 5:30pm on Monday, October 24 at the Weinberg Center. No advance preparation or reservation is necessary. Local students ages 6-18 are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning should arrive at 3:30pm and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members may be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

CASTING | Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.

REHEARSALS | Most students will rehearse approximately 4.5 hours each day, October 24-28, after school. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, everyone who auditions must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4.5 hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a lunch, dinner, or snack.

PERFORMANCE | The final performance will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 3:00pm at the Weinberg Center. The students in the cast will be called for a dress rehearsal before the performance that day. All those cast must be available for the final performance.

ABOUT THE SHOW | It’s out of the tower and on the run as a zany cast of friends and foes help Rapunzel’s harrowing escape from the towering imprisonment of Madame Gothel. Add a dash of French flair and a pinch of personal triumph and friendship for an original musical adaptation you won’t soon forget!
