About 1964: The Tribute
Twenty years of research and performing have made "1964" masters of their craft. "1964" has performed throughout the world, including to a sold out crowd at Carnegie Hall. "1964" recreates an early 60s live Beatles concert, with period instruments, clothing, hair styles, and on-stage banter. Beatle boots, vintage costumes and equipment, on-stage mannerisms and speaking voices, and the unmistakable harmonies of the lads from Liverpool make "1964" the most accurate and fun Beatles tribute to date.
"1964" has been featured on such nationally televised programs as Entertainment Tonight, PM Magazine, CNN, the USA Network and the Nashville Network. "1964" has toured around the world performing at major concert venues, festivals, colleges, corporate events, and conventions. Highlights include the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, England. They were voted "Best Major Concert Act" and "Best Contemporary Act" by the readers of Campus Activities Today magazine. They were also voted "Contemporary Music Artists of the Year" by the National Association for Campus Activities and "Campus Entertainers of the Year" by the Canadian Association for Campus Activities.
